Fourth seeded Texas A&M International University defeats first seeded Texas Permian Basin 3-2 at the Heartland Conference Tournament Friday afternoon at Bill Greehey Arena on the St. Mary's University campus in San Antonio, Texas. The Dustdevils completed the series 30-25, 30-19, 15-30, 24-30, 15-9 over UTPB. Efforts were led by Senior Mary Koch with 51 assist. Named to the All-Heartland First Team, Nicole Gipson led with 8 blocks. All-Heartland Second Team, Ladys Montano contributed 15 kills. And, All-Heartland Honorable Mention, Madison Mojica had a team high of 29 digs.

TAMIU will play second seed Incarnate Word for the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship. Incarnate Word won the two game regular season series over the Dustdevils 3-1, 3-2. The finals will be held at Bill Greehey Arena on the St. Mary's University campus in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday night November 10, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
