Final Stats

Texas A&M International University swept Panhandle State 3-0 in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday at the TAMIU Kinesiology and Convocation Building. The Dustdevils stretched their overall winning streak to four matches with the 30-6, 30-16, 30-15 Heartland Conference win over the Aggies.

Brittany Smith led the Dustdevils with 20 kills on 24 attempts. TAMIU (12-19, 7-7 Heartland) recorded an impressive .425 team hitting percentage. Four players recorded double-figure dig totals with Danielle Gilley leading the way with 16 digs.

Senior Mary Koch contributed with 46 assists, five service aces and four block assists in her last regular season match as a Dustdevil.

Results from two other matches played today will determine in TAMIU qualifies for the Heartland Conference Tournament, which will be hosted by St. Mary's University next weekend. A Newman win over St. Edward's or a UT-Permian Basin win over St. Mary's would land the Dustdevils a tournament berth as the fourth seed.
