Oct. 4, 2008 Eastern New Mexico defeated Texas A&M International University 3-1 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at Texas Woman's University in Denton. The Dustdevils won the opening set 25-17 before losing 16-25, 18-25, 23-25 to the Zias. Nicole Gipson led the Dustdevils with 18 kills. Alexandria Montemayor finished with a team-high 17 digs and Brittany Smith contributed 11 kills and seven blocks. TAMIU (3-16 overall) will play its next eight matches on the home court. That stretch begins this Thursday against Newman. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Kinesiology & Convocation Building. |
