UT-Pan American defeated Texas A&M International (30-24, 32-20, 30-27) in the season finale for both teams on Tuesday night in Edinburg.

Despite the loss the Dustdevils achieved a very successful season in their first campaign as a NCAA Division II provisional member of the Heartland Conference.

TAMIU (24-5 overall) recorded a 12-2 record against Heartland opponents while also setting a school record for overall winning percentage (.828). That mark betters the .793 winning percentage achieved in the program's inaugural season in 2002 when the Dustdevils went 23-6.
