Final Stats

Kelli Layden scored two goals to pace Texas Lutheran to a 2-1 win over Texas A&M International on Monday afternoon at Dustdevil Field.

Layden scored from 15 yards out in the second minute before TAMIU's Cassie Delgado answered with an unassisted goal in the 42nd minute to tie the score 1-1 at halftime. Layden's game-winning goal was recorded after she put the ball in the net after slipping past a Dustdevil defender in a one-on-one situation in the 59th minute.

Katie Kistner made five saves for TLU (1-1), including a sliding grab at the top of the box in the 88th minute. Mary Jo Hall made three saves for the Dustdevils.

TAMIU (0-4) returns to action on Friday with a home game against Angelo State. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Dustdevil Field.
