Final Stats

Georgian Court defeated Texas A&M International University, 4-0, in women's soccer action on Friday in a neutral site game played at St. Mary's University in San Antonio. It was the season opener for both teams.

Amy VanBlarcom scored two goals in the first 22 minutes of play to stake Georgian Court (1-0) to a 2-0 lead. She would assist on the third goal of the first half and then score an unassisted goal in the 51st minute to pace GCU to the shutout win.

TAMIU (0-1) returns to action on Monday with a home game against UT-Brownsville. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Dustdevil Field.
