Texas A&M International snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over UT-Permian Basin on Wednesday afternoon at Dustdevil Field. The game was the final home contest for four Dustdevil seniors.

TAMIU (4-12 overall) led 3-1 at halftime on the strength of two goals by Stephanie Webb and a single score from Dalia Hernández.

UTPB (3-16-1) would cut the led to 3-2 in the 55th minute but TAMIU would score twice late to secure the win. Hernández took a pass from Rosa Hernández and juked past UTPB goalkeeper Stephanie Ward for a score in the 82nd minute before Selina Gusman scored on a dropped ball by Ward in the 86th minute.

TAMIU out-shot UTPB, 18-8. Dustdevil goalkeeper Mary Jo Hall made four saves for the day.

TAMIU will close out the season on Saturday at Dallas Baptist. DBU defeated TAMIU, 2-1, on Oct. 7 in Laredo.
