With finals behind them, Texas A&M International University's men's and women's basketball teams are set to return to the court on Monday. Both teams will play road games against Lone Star Conference opponents with the men playing at Texas A&M-Kingsville and the women playing at Tarleton State. TAMUK (6-2) edged TAMIU (3-2) 77-76 on Nov. 20 at the Kinesiology and Convocation Building. The Javelinas increased their lead to 7-0 in the all-time series between the two teams with the win in Laredo. Prior to the earlier game this season all games in the series had been decided by double-figures with the closest margin being a 71-60 Kingsville win during the 2005-06 season. Tarleton State (4-1) and TAMIU (3-4) have met only once. The TexAnns defeated the Dustdevils 79-67 during TAMIU's inaugural 2003-04 season. |
