Final Stats

Hillsdale College defeated Texas A&M International University 69-51 on Thursday night at the Lady Rattler Christmas Classic at St. Mary's University. The loss stretches TAMIU's losing streak to five games.

Chevelle Hoyle made two free throws at the 8:29 mark of the first half to push TAMIU to a 16-15 lead before Hillsdale finished the half with a 22-7 run to take a 37-23 lead at the half. TAMIU would cut the lead to 45-35 on a Nicole Gipson layup at the 11:55 mark of the second half but the Chargers responded with a 15-2 run that built an insurmountable 60-37 lead at the 5:52 mark.

Nicole led the Dustdevils with 14 points and six blocks. Jasmine June contributed eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.

TAMIU (3-7) returns to action on Dec. 29 with a road game at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Dustdevils defeated the Javelinas 66-49 on Nov. 27 in Laredo. It was TAMIU's first win over the TAMUK in four-game all-time series.
