Final Stats

Texas A&M International University and Newman tied 0-0 in Heartland Conference men's soccer action on Friday afternoon at Dustdevil Field. The game was the third in five days for the Dustdevils.

TAMIU outshot the Jets 12-2 but could not find the net against the Jets. Newman (2-1-1, 0-0-1 Heartland) goalkeeper Emmanuel Gutiérrez had a solid outing, recording eight saves for the afternoon.

TAMIU (1-1-1, 0-1-1 Heartland) closes out a season-opening four-game home stand next Friday against Lone Star Conference foe Eastern New Mexico. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Dustdevil Field.
