Texas A&M International University spilt two games on its most recent road swing, losing 3-2 to Friends on Thursday before defeating Newman 2-1 on Friday. Both games were played in Wichita, Kan.

TAMIU claimed the win over Newman on two late goals scored on corner kicks. Gabriel Arias received and kicked a corner kick in the net in the 84th minute and Raul Quinones headed a corner into the net in the 88th minute to secure the come-from-behind victory. Karl McGettrick launched the corner kick on both goals.

TAMIU (5-6 overall) will close out the home portion of the 2006 schedule with games against St. Mary's on Friday and St. Edward's on Sunday. Friday's game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff at Dustdevil Field.
