Texas A&M International University opened the 2010 season with an 18-hole match against Incarnate Word on Monday at the Laredo Country Club. The Dustdevils played well against the perennial Heartland Conference power, finishing only one stroke behind the Cardinals, 336-337.

TAMIU claimed three of the top five individual finishes. Rafael Reyes finished second with a 82, Mark Cochrane third with a 84 and José Martínez fifth with a 85. UIW's Josh Hardt won the match with a 78.

The Dustdevils will return to action on Feb. 22-23 at the Senator Eddie Luciano Invitational, which will be hosted by UT-Brownsville at the South Padre Island Golf Club.
