Texas A&M International University senior Sean Tucker has been named Heartland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 9-15.

Tucker averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game to lead TAMIU to home wins over Lincoln and Newman. He connected on 16 of 28 field goal attempts and nine of 10 free throw attempts against the Blue Tigers and Jets.

Tucker notched his third career double-double in an 85-82 upset of Newman, contributing 24 points and 10 rebounds. He has scored in double-figures in 14 games this season, finishing with 20-plus points three times.
