Staff veteran Aaron Garza enters his third season as an assistant coach at Texas A&M International University. He has been teaching in the Early College High School Program at TAMIU the last two years. Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Garza achieved a solid two-year playing career for TAMIU. He averaged 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 51 career games as a Dustdevil. Garza served in the United States Marine Corps for six years after graduating from Laredo's Nixon High School. He rose to the rank of corporal and served as an infantry squad leader during his Marine career. Garza earned All-District honors in basketball at Nixon. |
