Texas A&M International University has landed two spots on the 2010 All-Heartland Conference Baseball Gold Glove Team. Junior Rey Alvarez has been selected as a Gold Glove outfielder and junior Luís Bracero earns the honor at shortstop. The Gold Glove team is determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches.

Alvarez has been TAMIU's starting center fielder the past two seasons. He led Heartland Conference outfielders with 111 putouts on 118 chances this season, making only three errors to finish with a .975 fielding percentage.

Bracero, a transfer from Laredo Community College, quickly established himself as the starting shortstop in his first season as a Dustdevil. He played in 49 games, making 17 errors on 196 chances to finish with a .913 fielding percentage. Bracero helped turn 22 double plays, the second most in the conference.
