Two Texas A&M International University student-athletes have been named to the 2009 All-Heartland Conference Baseball Team. Senior Ryan Flynn and freshman Zeke Sosa were both first-team picks with Flynn being selected as a utility specialist and Sosa as a catcher.

The selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches.

Flynn finishes his career as a three-time All-Heartland selection and two-time first-team pick. He turned in an outstanding senior campaign, finishing with 58 hits, six home runs, 42 RBI and a team-leading .358 batting average.

Flynn ranks as the TAMIU career leader with 171 hits, 121 RBI and 108 runs scored. He played one season at Allegany Community College before transferring to TAMIU.

Sosa led the squad with nine home runs and 44 RBI this season. He also contributed 55 hits, 10 doubles and a .302 batting average while catching all but one game.
