Andrew Crowe begins his first season as a Student Assistant Coach after pitching two seasons for the Texas A&M International University Baseball Team. In his two seasons with the Dustdevils, Crowe made 35 appearances as a reliever picking up 28 strikeouts. Prior to arriving at TAMIU, he played two seasons at Laredo Community College where he earned Freshman of the Year honors in 2008 recording six saves. Crowe also comes in with two years of high school coaching experience, having served as an assistant coach with the Victoria Eagles in British Columbia. Crowe came to Laredo from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where he lettered in baseball, basketball, volleyball and hockey at Pacific Christian High School. During his high school career, he was a two time MVP pitcher and named to the All-Conference team as a senior. Andrew is the son of Bruce and Sandra Crowe. He is majoring in fitness and sports and hopes to one day become a college head coach. His favorite professional sports team is the Seattle Mariners and his favorite athlete is Georges St. Pierre. His favorite book is "Moneyball" by Michael Lewis and his favorite quote is, "Strive to be the best you can be," by Michael Jordan. Andrew is a senior and plans on receiving his degree in May. |
