The Texas A&M International Universtiy Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes from the TAMIU Women's and Men's teams assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The TAMIU SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on the TAMIU campus.

The TAMIU SAAC works to:

* Generate a student-athlete voice within the Heartland Conference structure.

* Solicit student-athlete response to proposed Heartland Conference legislation and initiatives.

* Recommend potential Heartland Conference legislation and initiatives.

* Review, react and comment to the governance structure on legislation, activities and subjects of interest.

* Actively participate in the administrative process of athletics programs at TAMIU.

* Promote a positive student-athlete image.
