An original staff member, Ernst Feisner is in his sixth year as head athletic trainer at Texas A&M International University. He supervises a wide-range of responsibilities pertaining to the physical well being of student-athletes, ranging from injury prevention to injury rehabilitation to rehab. Prior to arriving in Laredo in 2006, Feisner gained four years of experience as an assistant trainer at William Paterson University. He began his career at Belmont Abbey College. Feisner then worked three years as head athletic trainer at Earlham College before moving on to William Patterson. Feisner holds several professional certifications, including Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC), Certified Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) and Nutritional Advisor (CNA). He has earned a bachelor's in movement in science from William Paterson and a master's in physical education with a concentration is sports medicine from the University of North Carolina. Feisner has worked with several of Laredo's minor league sports teams over the past couple of years. He has gained experience with the Laredo Broncos, Laredo Heat and Laredo Red Raiders. |
