LAREDO, Texas - It's time for Laredo to paint the stands maroon! With both the men's and women's basketball teams off to their best starts in program history, the Texas A&M International University Athletics department is looking to build on the early season momentum by offering free all-sports passes to all local fans!

"This is a chance for us to provide our fans with a gift to celebrate the New Year," said Athletic Director Dr. Leonard Nardone. "We realize that these are difficult economic times and we have been very fortunate to have the continued support of the Laredo community. Our men's and women's basketball programs are on the verge of historic seasons and we want the community right alongside us to celebrate what could be a banner year. Fans in Laredo are unlike any other and we hope as many as possible will take advantage of this offer to come and support the Dustdevils, as we look to continue our string of success," Dr. Nardone said.

To receive your season pass, simply register with your name and email address at the TAMIU Athletics office or at the gate of any TAMIU athletics event. Each pass will admit two adults and four children and is valid for every TAMIU sporting event for the remainder of the spring season.

The men's and women's basketball teams open up conference play January 5 with four straight road games. The Dustdevils take on U.T. - Permian Basin, followed by games against St. Edwards, Newman and Oklahoma Panhandle State. Both teams return for their conference home opener January 21, to host the University of Arkansas Fort-Smith. The Dustdevils baseball season gets underway February 3, with a home doubleheader versus U.T.- Permian Basin. The defending Heartland Conference Champion softball team will open up their 2012 schedule on the road, taking on Tarleton State University in San Antonio at the St. Mary's Classic.
